The Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund (MSCRF) proudly participated in the prestigious International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) annual meeting held in Boston from June 14 to June 17, 2023. The MSCRF team, along with renowned researchers from Maryland, attended the event, contributing to the vibrant exchange of scientific knowledge and advancements in the field of stem cell research.

As a sponsor of the conference, MSCRF organized a focused session called "Bench to Bedside," emphasizing the significant impact of MSCRF funding. This session provided an opportunity for MSCRF awardees to present their groundbreaking work, which ranged from early discovery stages to clinical applications and included biomanufacturing support facilitated by MSCRF. The showcased research exemplified the remarkable progress being made in the field of regenerative medicine.

The MSCRF team and attending researchers took full advantage of the ISSCR annual meeting, immersing themselves in the latest scientific research and technological developments. They not only updated their knowledge but also had the privilege of presenting their own work, fostering connections, and engaging with their peers. This platform facilitated meaningful discussions and fruitful collaborations, demonstrating the commitment of MSCRF and the Maryland research community to advancing stem cell research.

Throughout the four-day conference, MSCRF had numerous enriching conversations with presenters, grantees, researchers, and partnering organizations. These interactions served as an excellent opportunity to showcase MSCRF's funding opportunities, programs, and mission, while also establishing valuable partnerships within the stem cell research landscape.

The ISSCR annual meeting welcomed over 4,000 scientists, educators, ethicists, and business leaders from around the world. MSCRF's active participation in this global event further exemplifies its dedication to promoting excellence in stem cell science and its applications for improving human health.
